It's not about tags, baby. The key to understanding those communication formats is not some new-fangled way of organizing information (albeit that's nice as well), it's (bite-sized delivery of) continuous transparency. If you think about it, it's really a no-brainer: To show up, you need to be visible.

It's a journey of small steps. Probably no one remembers by now how radical unedited publishing of one's sources felt in the beginning.
