The Exidy Sorcerer was one of many computers that probably qualify for being in an `early wave' (if not the first wave) of personal computers that managed, like its contemporary competitor---Apple---to reach a reasonably wide audience The Sorcerer involved several innovations, among which were PRom software (delivered on PRoms jury-rigged into 8-track cartridge tape housings), a programmable display character set and a simplicity that allowed one to `understand' it quite completely.
