Shareable Content Object Reference Model

Initiative to make course content (production of which usually is rather expensive) independent of the specific LMS used to actually deliver the courses, or, in SCORM parlance, Reusable, Accessible, Interoperable and Durable (RAID).

Most of the SCORM standards are based on those previously developed by AICC and IMS.

The three areas SCORM covers are:

2. SCORM Runtime Environment
3. SCORM Metadata
