I was just about to post a pointer to the San Diego `Terabyte Machine' when Gavin beat me to it! Anyway, it sets a nice lower bound on current large storage costs.

I find the Tibet stuff tantalizing. At the moment it runs _very slow_ on my 800Mhz machine, but I assume that this is because of their server, not my machine (or ISP connection, which is a fast cable modem). I haven't yet figured out how to do `local service' but am enjoying the experiment.
