Nach Monaten des geduldigen Wartens gibt es finalement Six Degrees als Demo zum Download. Wirklich glücklich wird man damit — wenn überhaupt — aber nur als Outlook-2000- bzw. Entourage-X-Freund werden. Wer weder noch installiert hat, braucht Six Degrees schon gar nicht downloaden, zumindest unter Windows lässt es sich nämlich nicht einmal installieren.

Six Degrees downloads and installs fine, but I remain _very_ pessimistic, particularly after taking the on-line `tutorial'. Grounds for pessimism: (1) Outlook stinks as a mail client---particularly as it is virus prone; (2) SD only works off `subject' material, apparently (at least according to their demo) and when I look at my historical records of `subject titles' they are much more prone to be cute or interesting than subject oriented or, in themselves, informative.

If anything interesting happens I'll report back after some use, but I must say I expect SD to bomb (badly)...
