Strange things happen: Oracle acquired Innobase, developers of InnoDB, probably the most widely used MySQL table handler for non-toy applications.

"InnoDB's contractual relationship with MySQL comes up for renewal next year. Oracle fully expects to negotiate an extension of that relationship."

Addendum: The strange thing is that MySQL The Company let that happen.Wir sind die Guten Schiachen.
